Dr. Madisetti is a full Professor in Electrical & Computer Engineering at Georgia Tech, having joined in 1989 and is a Fellow of the IEEE. He has served as consultant to MIT Lincoln Labs and John Hopkins University Applied Physics Labs (APL) on programs related to Software, Computer Architectures and Wireless Networks. He has also founded two companies, VP Technologies, Inc. in 1995, and Soft Networks, LLC offering products in the areas of semiconductor ICs, and software for multimedia and wireless applications, respectively. He has led one of the largest embedded computing & software programs in the country since 1999 as part of Georgia Tech’s $75M Yamacraw Program (which has now evolved to Georgia Electronic Design Center), and has directed or co-directed large research programs that include DARPA’s Rapid Prototyping of Application Specific Signal Processors (1994-1997), and the US Air Force’s Electronic Parts Obsolescence Initiative (1998-2001).
